Whenever you clean your car remember to also clean the rubber-wiping element on your wiper blade. All that is required is for you to wipe the entire length rubber element with a damp clean cloth.
Never use a chemical agent to clean the rubber-wiping element as this could damage the element.
Before switching on your wiper after a long period with out use it is advisable to clean both the windscreen and the rubber-wiping element.
Do not put washing up liquid or other detergents in your screenwash washer bottle, as it will seriously impair your vision and safety. Use only recommended screen wash additives.

It is recommended you see first class advice from a garage technician as you could be in urgent need of replacing your wiper blade. Check how long the wiper blade has been on your vehicle. If it has been on more than a year then you should be thinking of changing your wiper blade.

But if you'd rather avoid problems - which are prompt to happen at anytime, anywhere - change your windshield wiper once a year.
